i come with a good friend, and we thought to stay in a hotel in san fransisco, and from there to go to the workshops in san rafael.

we go to two workshops - one on march 7, and the second on march 08. each workshop is 2-3 hours.

which hotels do you recommend us to stay in?
i don’t think we will rent a car, so a hotel that we can go from it to san rafael (what transportation to take - bus? train? boat?), and also to travel san fransisco.

I just posted an innocent Q about Tolle and Oprah’s online class of his book, A New Earth, and it was reported and promptly removed.
Why doesn’t the person who did that,read the book and see for him or herself? They are acting from fear and ignorance, and what someone has brainwashed them to believe. Don’t worry, if you read the book, the devil will not inhabit your brain.

I am laughing at this. How seriously and voraciously people cling to their concepts and teachings. Not sad, funny. Very funny. LMAO!
I remember being told from a very early age that when people start believing the same thing, unifying, coming together, it will be the end of times. I see the opposite happening. There is nothing to fear people, except fear itself.
Tamara S~ I agree. Never laugh at, only with. Remember, we are talking about those who are reporting innocent Q’s that just don’t jive with their current belief system. Laughter, I feel, is an appropriate response to that.

Are these wise people innately wise or are they always “becoming wise” by attending lectures, reading books, or getting advice? If you already feel like spirituality is “easy” already, why would someone ever “listen” to someone else’s words of wisdom? If one is enlightened, then is it time to STOP and just “BE” … I think Tolle said something about “it” being “boring” and “unlearning” is the key; if so, why keep learning stuff to unlearn?

I just bought this book and will begin reading it tonight. I also intend to do the webinar that Tolle and Opray Winfrey will be hosting on www.oprah.com. I am curious what readers feel about this book in general. I have started an Oprah Book Readers Club for folks in Michigan, so anyone interested is welcome to join. What I mean is, I’ve tried to read The Power of Now and while a friend of mine says that Eckhart spoon feeds you the truth, I didn’t find it all that easy to understand. I’m sure the message is important and the concept can change your life, but I’m finding it hard to grasp. Anyone know of any other books or authors who explain enlightenment in laymens’ terms?
